Sure, Janet Ahlberg's illustrations for The Worm Book, they are colourfully expressive, often very much deliberately humorous and as such also do manage to mostly successfully mirror her husband Alan's presented text. Maybe I am just not in the mood, but to be perfectly honest and truthful, both my adult self and equally (and actually considerably more so) my inner child have not really found Alan and Janet Ahlberg's 1979 The Worm Book all that engaging (but in fact and actually more than a trifle if not totally tedious in scope, rather annoyingly disorganised, and most certainly not in any manner a book that somehow is meant to actually describe and focus on worms).
